I initially started this blog in July 2010 as a way to share my cooking adventures with others. I love to cook, and I love to learn. I’ve mostly taught myself how to cook by experimenting with new foods and cooking methods. 

In July 2014, I quit my day jobs and began a travel journey with my husband Martin. We traveled for nearly 2 years! We collapsed exhausted and found ourselves in China.

Teaching English abroad was an easy transition for me since my career has always been teaching English. I taught English in a high school in the States for a few years before landing an HR training job at a large organization: a job I loved up until we left to travel. 

I continue to search for moments that sustain me and I am quickly discovering the most profound moments are usually the least expected.
