Traveling Means Saying Goodbye

Fresh Coworkers

Today we say goodbye to our new friends in Cobán. For the past six weeks we have volunteered at El Muro Hostal & Pub in Lanquin and at the bagel shop Fresh in Cobán. Our hosts, Max and Ann have been so welcoming and made our time here memorable. Veronica and Flor (pictured in pink above) have been so patient with my mediocre attempts at communicating in Spanish.

While it is hard to say goodbye, I also feel the call of the road again. The comforts of routine are alluring and the uncertainty of traveling makes me anxious. Yet, the unknown adventures await and my heart tells me to push past my fear and discover the world!

And so as we travel to Antigua today, enjoy some additional photos from my time in Coban, Guatemala.
