After visiting the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, I became inspired to create more intimate photographs through extreme close up shots. Coupled with my intense focus on everything subtle during the recent meditation course, I wanted to put together a series of photographs that captured more than just a sweeping landscape.
The International Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon offered the perfect opportunity to create a Georgia O’Keeffe inspired collection of photographs. As I look through the photographs, I can almost smell the roses again. I wanted to capture not just the most traditionally beautiful flowers, but also the beauty of the decaying flowers. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do.
Wow, wow, wow. I seem to use that word a lot when commenting on your posts!
I’m glad you are enjoying the photos! Martin and I should be back in the cities in August. I hope we can meet up!! 🙂
